**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, paired with Public Professional Buyer (CPPB) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is a must
- 5+ years of procurement experience in a large complex organization
- CPPO certification is an asset
- Previous experience in public sector purchasing, contract law, and trade agreements
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials or equivalent
- Strong communication and customer services skills

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement sourcing and contract management strategies, guiding stakeholders through the procurement process including request for documents (RFx), evaluations, negotiations, and the award process
- Comply with procurement legislation, contracts, and company policies
- Exercise independent judgment in procurement practices
- Maintain documentation, adhering to the established company policies and procedures
- Recommend strategic approaches for commonly procured items and services
- Implement strategic actions for cost reductions
- Foster and strengthen supplier relations, and evaluate contracts as required
