**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager of Environmental Services, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of Idlewyld property, performing preventative maintenance and routine inspection. Other responsibilities include, but are not all inclusive are: snow removal, yard work, carpet care, furniture set up, painting and mechanical repairs of equipment within the building, and relevant committee participation. This position also includes an on-call rotation.

**Employment Requirements**:

- Mechanical aptitude, training/experience in plumbing, electrical, painting, and decorating
- Able to make general repairs to building and equipment
- Good physical and mental health with no physical condition that would preclude lifting and other heavy work as per the physical demands analysis
- Must be able to read, write English as well as be able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be reliable, conscientious, and demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with others
- Must be flexible and able to adhere to time deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Post-secondary education/training desirable
