**About Community Initiatives & Agriculture**:
The Community Initiatives and Agriculture (CIA) team is the arm of Explore Edmonton Corporation that stewards legacy events like K-Days and Farmfair International. We are also a team of urban agriculture experts and enthusiasts that continue to make an impact with projects and programs geared to agriculture education, community partnerships, and sustainability.

There is no better example of our work in the community to connect people to food and farming within the city limits than at the Explore Edmonton Urban Farm, and no better way to show our commitment to the quality of life of Edmontonians than through the events that our team of Community Volunteers support not just for Explore Edmonton, but for our attraction’s partners all around Edmonton, every year.

And, for good measure, we always throw in a healthy dose of entertainment like the new Edmonton Pro Rodeo, the last stop on the road to the Canadian Finals Rodeo.

**About the Position**:
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Programs, and Initiatives (SPI), the **Program Manager, SPI, Local Food & Craft Beverages** is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic programs and initiatives within the CIA portfolio.
- Building relationships and community connections that support expanded community participation and involvement.
- Developing and executing programs that deliver on portfolio strategies with an overarching 5-year development plan.
- Working with the CIA team to identify strategic program development goals and objectives and participate in the business development plan to meet those goals.
- Providing strategic input for changes in direction or priorities during the business year; provide direction for necessary modifications to the business plan or operating budget as required during the fiscal year.
- Building knowledge and understanding in community program development strategies, proposal preparation, negotiating, and client requirements for signature events.
- Providing strategic reports, program evaluations and budget reporting as required by Director.
- Working with internal teams to execute programming and deliver on strategic outcomes.
- Supporting Food and beverage, exhibits and sponsorship as required to connect with local food and craft beverage suppliers, vendors, and funders.
- Grant writing and reporting as required for related programs and initiatives.
- Supporting operational needs of K-Days, Farmfair, the Urban Farm and other CIA events and initiatives as required.
- Leading in the optimization operational workflows, processes, and general requirements for the CIA team to deliver exceptional experiences.
- Supporting training in operational requirements of CIA team
- Building effective relationships with key suppliers and other internal teams.
- Supporting the team with developing Statements of Works (SOW) and contracts for services required to execute events.
- Developing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements with partner groups.
- Supporting the team with procurement and vendor sourcing.
- Supporting the CIA team to ensure the operational capabilities of contractors are maximized to deliver programs and initiatives.
- Assisting with overseeing the production and operational elements in conjunction with other business units, contracted labor, vendors, security, guest services, operations, catering, custodial, and other event-related contracted services; from set up through to event conclusion.
