**Onaping Depth: Development Miners/Leaders/Supervisors**

**Key Areas of Responsibility**:

- In coordination with other crew members the Development Team follows job procedures and regulations and will perform one or more of the following tasks during demolition, rehab, and construction.
- Inspect existing underground heading to ensure the workplace is safe and assigned tasks can be executed safely and to design specifications.
- Use scaling bars, pneumatic hand-held drills, cutting and welding equipment, rubber tired underground mobile equipment such as MacLean Bolters, Scoops, Dump Trucks, Jumbo, and shotcrete sprayers
- Install rock bolts, spin cables and screen using Maclean Bolter and handheld drills.
- Muck.
- Install services and vent.
- Other such duties as may be assigned.

**General Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure full understanding and compliance with company policies and work in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other local regulatory requirements.
- Have the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Fully supports and actively participates in the team safety program based on culture and innovation.
- Ensure that any equipment deemed damaged or unsafe by virtue of a defect, or a machine of which any protection system is inoperative, is not used and communicated to the supervisor.
- Work closely with other crew members to create and maintain a synergy required to accomplish the shift line-up in the cycle.
- Ensure applicable procedures and work standards for all tasks are understood, adhered to and complied at all times for all such work.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace.
- Utilize all safety systems as specified within the site safety management system.

**Pre-Employment Qualifications**:

- Pre-employment drug, alcohol and medical testing.
- Criminal Record Check (if applicable).
- Full Basic Underground Common Core.
- Minimum 2 years related work experience.
- CWB Certification considered an asset.

**Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities**:

- WHMIS.
- Fall Arrest.
- First Aid Certification.
- Working at Heights.
