**About **Glencore’s Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations**

Sudbury, Ontario, Canada is one of the most geologically rich areas of the world. This northern city in the Canadian Shield boasts a 60-kilometre-long formation called the Sudbury basin, which is brimming with nickel, copper, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum and palladium deposits. It’s also been home to Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations (Sudbury INO) since 1929. Our Sudbury operations include exploration, underground mines, a mill and a smelter, and Onaping Depth, a deep mine project at Craig Mine, all located in this basin. We currently employ more than 1,200 permanent employees and support another 1,200 contractors.

**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a **Smelter Labourer **to join our **Glencore** **Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.**

The position will be based at the Smelter.

This is a Permanent position. Working a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

**Duties and Accountabilities**:
Works in compliance with Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations safety rules and guidelines

Receives instructions from supervision and direction from smelter operators

Performs manual tasks such as: housekeeping tasks; (sweep, shovel, wash, etc); delivering supplies, samples, mail

Assist operators in operating equipment and process

May assist with operation tasks around the electric furnace and roaster area

Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition

Reports and handles spills according to guidelines set out in the spill report manual

Performs other related tasks as required

**About You**

Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be the key to your growth in this role.

**Education**

Applicants must possess a Grade 12 Diploma. Post-secondary education will be considered an asset.

**Skills**

This position requires significant mechanical reasoning skills along with demonstrated troubleshooting and analytical skills.
