**What Are We Doing?**

Our foundational science harnesses the ability to create and then direct the differentiation of universal pluripotent stem cells into authentic, functional cells that can be used as allogeneic cellular therapies to treat a broad array of diseases. We can also further engineer these cells, enabling them to produce enzymes, antibodies, and other proteins for additional therapeutic benefit.

In addition, the Specialist I will assist the QC team in the day-to-day laboratory operations and duties to support ordering and receiving of reagent for cell therapeutics for pre-clinical studies and human clinical trials. Duties will include routine laboratory maintenance, equipment checks and maintenance, lab inventory management support as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Purchasing of reagents and consumables for QC laboratory operations.
- Receiving and stocking reagents and consumables appropriately and updating appropriate forms and completing documentations.
- Maintain material management within the laboratory for consumables, reagents, and standards inventory.
- Setting up shipping requests in portal and shipping out samples for outsource testing.
- Equipment management including equipment cleaning, Scheduling Equipment Maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinating with Shipping contractor and Vendor management.
- Maintain and regularly update the Cryo sample management system.
- Assist with general lab upkeep including equipment checks, maintenance and reagent inventory and preparation and review of logbooks.
- Aid in drafting and revising GMP Documents (including SOPs, methods, reports and protocols) and updates with templates, as directed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, QA, R&D, and supply chain, to address and resolve quality issues.
- Perform other general duties as required.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field
- Experience in Quality Control within the Biotechnology setting is a preferred but not required.
- Highly familiar with laboratory operations, standard procedures and instrumentation, for testing of biologicals is preferred.
- Compliance mindset for the execution of elements within the quality system, including Change control, Deviation management, and CAPA implementation.
- Competency in computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail and proven ability to be highly productive and successful in a high pace work environment.

**Work Environment**:

- In this position you will work in a controlled laboratory environment
- You may be periodically required to move heavy equipment around 50 pounds
- Working in the laboratory requires mandatory use of personal protective equipment.
