**The Role**:
**Summary**: The QA Analyst resource will support the development of test plan, creation or identification of test data, test scripting, test execution, and defect management for project work. In addition, the resource will work with other internal and external stakeholders throughout various test cycles. This individual will also work on other project related tasks as assigned by leadership and/or the Team Lead. To be effective in this role, the analyst must be familiar with BA documentation and processes. Other work items may include working with multiple resources and effective reporting of results and progress to the Team Lead.

**Description of Services**:

- Under direction, support the following activities:

- Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions.
- Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement and issue resolution.
- Identify the target test items to be evaluated by the test effort.
- Support in development and execution of test plans.
- Define the appropriate tests required and any associated test data.
- Gather and manage the test data.
- Evaluate the outcome of each test cycle.
- Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test.
- Implement individual tests.
- Set up and execute the tests.
- Log outcomes and verify test execution.
- Analyze and recover from execution errors.
- Track test results, statistics, metrics and status.
- Attend necessary meetings to review testing inputs/outputs and provide status updates.
- Support project team members in the analysis of issues.
- Support project teams utilizing automated testing tools.

**Mandatory Skills**:

- Minimum combined years of relevant education and experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates.
- Demonstrated experience writing test cases from use cases, non-functional requirements and design documents.
- Demonstrated experience preparing test data, executing tests and verifying results and logging issues.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of Software QA, Testing and Defect Life Cycle.
- Demonstrated experience in testing REST APIs via Postman or similar tools.
- Demonstrated experience in JIRA and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks.
- Experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements gathering and detailed design specifications.

The role will be remote. But if the contractor is local, may be asked to attend some on-site if available (non-mandatory).
