**About Our Opportunity**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Proactively seek out new housing opportunities and resources for clients on the Housing Locator List.
2. Maintain on-going relationships with landlords and other housing providers, including acting as a liaison between landlord and housing support worker.
3. Negotiate leases on behalf of clients in collaboration with case managers, housing support workers and clients.
4. Work with a harm reduction and housing first approach in client service.
5. Maintain a Housing Directory to include documentation of all contacts with housing providers.
6. Provide consistent updates on housing availability.
8. Maintain data for reporting purposes to DCS and reporting with relevant CRM
9. Work in partnership with the Housing and Homelessness Services teams within and outside Portal Youth Outreach Association.
**REQUIREMENTS**
2. Experience in working in a community-based setting and a collaborative approach.
3. Knowledge and understanding of youth, family, community, social and historical factors, discrimination, trauma, and its impact on youth development.
4. Demonstration of experience in working from a strengths-based and relationship-based perspective.
5. Undergraduate degree or diploma in social sciences is preferred and an asset.
6. Possess strong organizational skills, attention to details, maintenance of files and contract compliance.
7. Creative thinker/adaptive personality.
8. Knowledge or understanding of tenant’s rights and responsibilities.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: $39,500.00-$42,500.00 per year
