After School Program Leaders - Dance, Performing Arts

Part Time: 2-6 hours a week | Shifts: Mondays and/or Fridays from roughly 2:30pm-4:30pm. Exact schools/sites TBA.

Rate: Starting at $20.00/hr. Negotiable depending on experience.

Rise Arts Company is looking for After School Program Leaders to lead and deliver our dance specific, performing arts programs at various locations across the Tri-cities. Applicants must be comfortable with planning and leading hip hop dance programs to ages 5-14.

Qualifications:

- Have a background in dance, specifically hip hop.
- Must be available for a minimum of two weekday afternoons between 2:00pm-5:00pm
- Have a joy and passion working with children ages 5-14 years old.
- Must have experience lesson planning and leading a range of activities to children and/or youth.
- Must be comfortable leading programs to groups of 25 participants. Assistant instructors will be scheduled for larger classes.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, site staff, parents & children.
- Must be highly reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Have the ability to create a safe and welcoming space for children and youth to explore their love for creativity.

Certifications/Licenses:

- Current first-aid certificate.
- Drivers license.
- Must complete a Police Information Check.
