Looking for someone energetic, great with kids, good with customer service/talking with parents to teach recreational gymnastics fundamentals to young kids Ages 0-11. Ability to teach creative movement dance (mix of ballet, jazz, & hip hop) for ages 3-6 is a BONUS
Weekly classes, school out
**Part time**:Around 10-20 hours per week
- weekly class schedule is set, but events fluctuate based on bookings so could be up to 30+ hours on occasion.
- Weekday afternoon/early evening availability is necessary (T-W-TH),
- Weekday mornings are an asset those days as well.
- AND **Must be available at least 1 weekend day ongoing
- this is mandatory for employment
- no exceptions**.
- No super early mornings or late nights
- huge bonus compared to most service industry jobs. Competitive wages. Starting rate well above minimum wage, and can go up from there based on previous experience, skillset, and ongoing performance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan and deliver gymnastics (& dance if applicable) lessons to students of various ages and skill levels using pre-set lesson plans **and** **your own plans.**:
- Teach proper techniques and form for gymnastics skills, including floor/tumbling, vault, balance beam, bars, and trampoline.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Provide individualized instruction/skills progressions and feedback to help students improve
- spotting children as needed.
- Monitor student progress and track their achievements.
- Ensure equipment is set up properly and maintained in a safe condition.
- Ensure safety rules are being followed at all times.
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any wins or concerns.
- Communicate current events/marketing materials/important messages to families.
- Facilitate fun active games and activities at birthday parties, kids night out, and day camps for kids of all ages.
- facilitate quiet down-time activities when needed at events
- i.e. crafts, colouring, reading, floor games.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a gymnast, cheerleader, tumbler, and/or gymnastics instructor **is a must** for this position. (Dance instruction knowledge is a BONUS as well)
- Knowledge of gymnastics & dance techniques, skills, spotting, and safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English is a must).
- Ability to work well with children and provide positive reinforcement.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear criminal record check provided (or consent/willingness to obtain).

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
