**Family Services & Volunteer Coordinator Job Posting**

Habitat Cornwall has created a new, entry level position to help families purchase new affordable homes in our community. The Family Services & Volunteer Coordinator will engage the public daily as a face and voice of
**The Family Services & Volunteer Coordinator’s primary responsibilities & duties include**:
- Acting as the primary liaison for current and potential Habitat Cornwall Partner Families
- Finding creative and effective ways to educate the community about the Habitat homeownership model with the goal of attracting, reviewing and recommending qualified applicants
- Act as liaison for Family Services Committee and help make recommendations to the Board of Directors and Executive Director
- Monitor current Partner Families to help them become successful homeowners
- Attend community events to promote Habitat Cornwall programing and opportunities
- Identify community, corporate, and media contacts for recruiting volunteers
- Recruit, provide training and orientation to volunteers
- Coordinate, plan and deliver presentations
- Plan, coordinate and implement annual Volunteer Recognition Event
- Offers support in the ReStore and other departments when required
- Ensures effective communication between staff, volunteers and management including briefings and staff meetings
- Strong belief in the mission and values of Habitat for Humanity
- Be a positive role model to volunteers, students, customers, staff etc.
- All other duties as assigned
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Preferred experience in social services, volunteer management or similar role
- Preferred experience in a not-for-profit environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, Word Press, Canva, etc
- Proficiency in both official languages preferred but not required
- Experience with special events planning and management and understanding of Donor Bill of Rights
- Strong interpersonal, effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent presentation and marketing skills, and the ability to effectively represent the agency to partners and potential volunteers
- Excellent time management, organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks with competing priorities
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and target driven
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekend hours as required
- Maintain high level of confidentiality in all facets of position
**Terms of Employment**:
Position reports directly to the Executive Director
Full time, permanent position
Anticipated workdays will be Tuesday to Saturday with some flexibility
