We are currently seeking those interested in a position as a **Mark IV / Tamper Operator** to support our team.

**GENERAL PURPOSE**:
Ensuring safety is a priority, this **Mark IV / Tamper Operator** who will be responsible to operate a Mark IV production switch tamper complete with a Jupiter operating system to meet production requirements established by the crew. May also be able to operate Mark III, Mark II or a slave tamper. Tasks include: surface newly constructed track, existing track and turnouts; has worked on mainline track during track blocks; daily walk around inspection of machine; daily administration of log books, job briefings; compliance to track rules and instructions and physical labour when required. This individual will at times work in high noise levels, fast paced and labour intensive roles, all weather conditions, standing/sitting varies on a daily basis and can be given multiple responsibilities at any given time.
- Class 3 License with 1-3 years’ experience
- Clean drivers abstract and clear criminal background check
- Working away from home
- Experience as a Mark IV Operator on Track

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:

- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Regular climbing up and down on and off equipment
- Occasional bending, and standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Exposed to outdoors regularly in all weather conditions (summer heat, rain, winter cold, etc.)
- Working with hazardous materials such as creosote, lubricants, oil, gasoline, diesel and exposed to dusty conditions
- Regular exposure to loud noise
- Unionized environment
- Regular out of town work, with overnight travel
