**Responsibilities**

Under the supervision of the Store Manager and Produce Manager this position is responsible for providing top-notch customer service, team supervision, ordering, merchandising, and managing the upkeep of the produce department according to all department procedures. In addition, as a Produce Supervisor you are responsible for providing high quality, fresh produce, maintaining department cleanliness and adhering to all safety and hygiene procedures.

- Place orders, stock, rotate, merchandise, and face product according to department procedures
- Receive product deliveries ensuring order and invoice accuracy
- Supervise department staff and provide regular feedback
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe back-stock room
- Examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished
- Create displays
- Perform weekly shifts as a key holder; opening and closing the store
- Liaise and communicate effectively with corporate, management, and store-level personnel
- Maintain a positive work environment
- Adhere to company loss prevention standards
- Work closely with the Produce Manager and Senior Produce Manager (head office)
- Cover additional shifts as necessary in order to meet the operational needs of the store
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Have previous experience working in the Produce and/or grocery industry
- Have the ability to stand, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Able to pass a CRC (criminal record check)
- Have a passion for providing excellent customer service
- Have the ability and willingness to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Have an interest in all natural, organic, local and healthy ingredients and foods

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
