**About Edmonton River Float**

We are excited to announce that Edmonton River Float is entering into its third season. Our home base is at Kinsmen Park down by the river near the Walterdale Bridge. This is our main customer area where they check in, purchase any items and wait for the bus. From there, customers will be shuttled up to Laurie Boat Launch where additional staff will be located with all the gear and ready to assist customers with entering the river. Customers will then float down the river back to Rafters Landing where staff will be to further assist.

We think we have created one of the best new summer activities in the City of Edmonton and want to create an equally exciting experience for staff. If you would like to be part of an amazing team, love the outdoors and enjoy interacting with people, we want to hear from you.

Note, even though you are not likely to be in the river every shift, our business does operate on and around the North Saskatchewan River. It is highly recommended that you are comfortable around open water, and have swimming ability.

**General Manager Position**

Our General Manager position will be the cornerstone of our seasonal operations. They will be trained and assisted by the CEO and COO, with an expectation that the day to day operations will be successfully completed by the General Manager with no oversight.

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing the day to day operation of Edmonton River Float.
- Main point of contact for all staff.
- Manage a daily team of 4-8
- Assist in staff hiring and training.
- Manage customer reservations on our scheduling back end.
- Interact with customers onsite and ensure everyone is safe and happy.
- Sales reporting.
- Coordinate set up and take down of all equipment.
- Schedule staff.
- Track all equipment and gear.
- Driving either the 12’ equipment truck or pick up truck.
- Assist in some sales and marketing initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- 1 year experience in some type of shift or team management.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Proficient with technology including MS office and G-suite.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Overall enthusiasm to create an exciting customer experience.
- Willingness to learn and help others.
- Physically fit and can lift 50lbs+
- Valid driver's license. Comfortable driving a 12’ cube/moving truck
- Access to a reliable vehicle daily.
- Must work weekends and holidays.**Nice to haves**:

- Rafting or outdoor adventure experience.
- First Aid training.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of the North Saskatchewan River and Edmonton area.
- Strong swimming ability.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
