The Operations Support - Dispatch/ Customer Care Rural Dairy Hauling has a geographical responsibility for Manitoba, Alberta, North Okanagan, and Kootenay regions of British Columbia and works in conjunction with the Divisional Manager and the Sr. Planning Manager in the operational planning and operational execution of a weekly dairy operational volume forecasts.

Additionally, the position is responsible to liaison and foster relationships with the Farming Community, being producers (farmers), Administrative/Operational staff at the Dairy Boards and Processing Plants.

The role is responsible to work a schedule consisting of 12 hours shifts on the following days:
**Shift Schedule: (Hours of 6am to 6pm)**

Week 1: Sunday - Monday - Tuesday

Week 2: Sunday - Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday

**Key Duties**:

- Dispatching/Order Creation:

- Driver Routing/Coordinate dispatching with professional drivers.
- Create and Order Entry within TMW Operating Software.
- Communicate with professional drivers, operational staff, dairy customers, and administrative staff.
- Driver/Customer/Vendor Relationships:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the professional driving team(s).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Maintain positive/effective communication with the professional driving team(s) and customers.
- Work collaboratively with the Equipment Services Department, and outside maintenance vendors.
- Key Skills/Knowledge:

- Excellent organizational skills, time management, ability to multi-task.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral.
- Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, ability to maintain relationships with professional drivers and customers.
- Ability to work independently and within a group environment.
- Represents the Vedder in a professional manner within the community at large.

Pay: $72,000.00 per year
