**Salary**: $18.97 to $23.71 per hour

Hours: Various Hours, Shifts/Week; Shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends - 8 & 12 hours, days and evenings, Monday to Sunday

Status: Casual

**University Health Network (UHN)** is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Ward Clerk** **in our CVICU Department.

It has one of the largest hospital-based research programs in Canada, with major research in transplantation, surgical innovation, cardiology, infectious diseases, genomic medicine and liver disease. QUALIFICATIONS:

- At minimum, completion of Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year related clerical experience
- Experience using EPR, PHS, ORSOS an asset
- Experience working in a Microsoft Office software enviroment
- General knowledge of office practices, processes and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience working in a health care environment an asset
- Accurate data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to read and understand sort notes, brief forms and/or instructions
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
- Exercise initiative and good judgment with ability to multi-task
- Compliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy Policy
- Effective organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies
- Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to handle difficult patients/situations
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
