**Front of House Supervisor**

Carleton Golf and Yacht Club is a private, member-owned golf club, located on the Rideau River about 20 minutes south of Ottawa. We offer Members 7 days a week golf and dining from mid-April to the end of October. In our clubhouse featuring two dining-rooms, suitable for function space plus outdoor dining, we host weddings, anniversaries and various member events year-round.

**Assistant Manager Role**

Reporting to the F+B Manager, the Food & Beverage Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing all service aspects of the Food & Beverage operation for Carleton Golf and Yacht Club.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage all Front of the House service, labour and beverage day-to-day operations to the highest standards
- Work closely with our Food & Beverage Manager to ensure seamless execution of corporate events and weddings
- Coaching and continuous training of all Food & Beverage team members, supervisory and front-line staff.
- Maintain beverage inventories through ordering and organizing stock rooms.
- Monthly inventories of beer, liquor, wine and pop
- Yearly inventories of all smallware’s, furniture, fixtures and equipment
- Develop strong and cooperative relationship with our Chefs to ensure excellent relations between kitchen and service staff and expedient delivery of food to guests
- Evaluate all Food & Beverage staff, carry out disciplinary action as needed, in accordance with Club policies
- Implement & manage all Food & Beverage programs to ensure compliance with SOP’s
- Ensure all staff are in their proper uniform and adhere to CGYC appearance standards
- Conducts pre-shift and pre-event meetings with all necessary staff
- All other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Advanced knowledge of wine an asset
- Minimum 1-2 years in a similar role
- Must have a stable work history
- Able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining the highest attention to detail; ability to multi-task
- Must have great supervisory skills and be able to work with management team to drive staff enthusiasm and drive to attain the highest possible standard
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office, POS software, inventory management
- Must be competent in time management

**Supervision & Budget Authority**
- This role entails supervisory authority and some budgetary authority

**Physical Environment**
- Job requires you to be on your feet 75% of your shift
- Be in good physical condition to perform extensive walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching and stretching
- Indoors and outdoors on a patio
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes noisy environment

**Job Types**: Full-time

- Restaurant Management: 1-2 years (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**License**:

- Smart Serve (required)

**Salary**: $800.00-$1,000.00 per week
