**Job Description**:
As a Senior bookkeeper at Mercury Contracting Ltd., you will be responsible for supporting the project management and accounting departments by managing daily bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks. This position reports to the General Manager and Accountant.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and within an assigned timeline.
- Input vendor invoices in _Buildertrend_ and _QuickBooks Online_ software.
- Review and monitor subtrade costs and verify quoted amounts with actual costs.
- Reconcile all vendors’ statements and credit card statements.
- Generate job cost reports.
- Filing, administrative duties, and other related duties as assigned or needed.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- Proficiency in data entry, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not mandatory.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in _Microsoft Office_ and _QuickBooks Online_.
- _Buildertrend _(training will be provided).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Job Type: 30-35 hours per week
- Rate: Competitive, to be discussed based on experience
- Benefits: Health and dental benefits after three months.
