Methodologist I

The Division of Thoracic Surgery is looking for a part-time Methodologist I. The individual will provide data management, programming, reporting and basic statistical support to the research team under the general direction of the Scientists, Research Assistants & Coordinators, and Research Program Manager. The Methodologist will be responsible for data aggregation, data queries, and questionnaire & CRF development in REDCap for a number of clinical trials, including a national multi-centre database.
**Basic Requirements (Education/Experience)**:
- Time management skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Flexibility to accommodate periodic demanding deadlines
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data and protocol requirements
- Computer literacy and knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, REDCap, Google Forms, Survey Monkey
- Superior communication skills with patients and members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Successful completion of TCPS-2 training is required
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of both official languages
- Proficiency with SQL
- Familiarity with Epic
- Previous research experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science related field
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, manuscript preparation
- SoCRA or ACRP certification
- Knowledge of OHRI Clinical Research Standard Operating Procedures
**Contract Details**:
This is a 6-month part-time contract with the possibility of renewal
**Salary**: Min:$28.244/hr - Max:$38.314/hr
