**The Role: Product Manager Pulp & Paper**

**Who are you?**

The Pulp & Paper Product Manager (PPPM) is responsible for delivery of post combustion capture products for the Pulp & Paper industry that fully satisfy customer and Svante’s requirements.

Svante’s go to market strategy for Pulp & Paper is a partnership with a project developer with deep expertise in the industry. The PPPM will directly interface with the project developer and form close working relationships with customers (external and internal) to ensure their needs and requirements are fully captured. As a Product Manager, you will guide a team that is charged with a product line contribution as a business unit. This extends to understand current development challenges and to participate to develop the Pulp & Paper capture product and future improvements to increase the profitability for the Company. The PPPM key role is more strategic than tactical. The PPPM will identify the lifecycle support structure and budget required to deliver Product development requirements including R&D, product engineering, process development, and manufacturing.

The PPPM must be able to communicate with all areas of the company in order to ensure that Pulp & Paper products are developed and delivered to cost, quality and timelines agreed with customers at all stages of the product lifecycle. The PPPM will work with R&D and product development counterparts to define product release requirements. Also will work with BD, and Marketing & Communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them to understand the product positioning, key benefits and target customers. The PPPM will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for the Pulp & Paper product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

The PPPM will be an experienced Product Manager ideally from the Pulp & Paper industry with obvious parallels to the growing carbon capture industry.

**Customers**:

- Pulp & Paper product customers - relationship building, requirements capture.
- R&D and Product teams - requirements and information flow.
- Svante corporate leadership - development of Project / Product development plans, budgets and status updates.

**Suppliers**:

- VP Products - vision for department and PPPM role.
- R&D team - developments in chemistries, materials and processes to suit customer requirements.
- Product team - development of Pulp & Paper products.
- Manufacturing team - delivery of prototypes, development of volume manufacturing production facilities.
- Svante corporate leadership - business requirements for Pulp & Paper products.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:

- Form close working relationships with PULP & PAPER customers.
- Drive the PULP & PAPER product vision and business opportunity.
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Specify market requirements for current and future PULP & PAPER products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
- Drive a solution set across development teams (primarily R&D, process, product engineering, manufacturing and marketing communications) through market requirements, product contract and positioning.
- Coordinate market validation and testing activities with customers in closed loop with the development team.
- Coordinate deployment of the product life management solution for internal operational functions.
- Coordinate internal readiness of business functions for PULP & PAPER product launch (order entry, fulfillment, sales, support, marketing) - product documentation, product training, ordering SKUs, forecasts, ordering & delivering processes, sales & channel processes.
- Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute including manufacturing.
- Analyse potential partner relationships for the PULP & PAPER product.
- Create strategic and tactical plans and budgets for delivery of customer product requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of the PULP & PAPER industry and use this knowledge for internal and external communication and participation in conferences, symposia etc.
- Project manage PULP & PAPER product developments including target value design. Manage reporting Project Managers as required.
- Report status to all relevant levels of the business. Create and manage development status dash boards.
- Ultimately delivery of products to fully satisfy PULP & PAPER customers
