Job Description Overview

Reporting to the Head Chef and working in cooperation with other Kitchen team members this employee will be responsible for assisting in Kitchen operations.
Smugglers’ Trail Caskworks emphasis is on the provision of an exceptional customer experience through outstanding customer service, high quality products and a clean and welcoming establishment.

**Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Completion of assigned tasks in accordance with company operating procedures
- Follows all safe work practices and regulations
- Follow recipes and portion guides
- Informs Head Chef of equipment maintenance and repairs
- Follows daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain a clean working environment
- Attends safety meetings
- Knowledge of Smugglers’ Trail Caskworks product offerings as well as good industry knowledge
- Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment for all team members
- Maintains quality standards for all food production aspects
- Works closely with leadership team to ensure satisfaction for all staff and customers
- Orders and receives of ingredients and supplies as required/directed
- Acts in a professional manner and be well-groomed in appearance

Required Experience, Knowledge and Abilities

**Previous experience**:

- Able to open and close kitchen
- Follow kitchen guidelines
- Able to work independently as well as a part of the team.
- Follow recipes and portion guides
- Work well under pressure
- Operating Flat top/Burners and Deep fryers

**Excellent Knowledge of**:

- Food and Beverage regulations and standards
- Worker Health and Safety Regulations and Standards
- Computer Programs (Microsoft Suite, Optimum Controls)

**Ability to**:

- React quickly, calmly and effectively troubleshoot as necessary
- Recognize unsafe situations and adopt effective courses of action
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with ownership, management, staff team and customers
- Work independently within the established policies and procedures of the company
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- To lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, bending, reaching and other requirements of brewing operations
- Work cooperatively with staff in the provision of high-quality service

Required Education, Qualifications, Licenses and Certificates (valid and current)
Food Safe Certification

**Part-time hours**: 25-40 per week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
$18.00 per hour
