Description:
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Quality Assurance Officer provides operational support in areas of; peer reviews, policy and procedure manual, chairing multiple support committees and internal/external reviews. The Quality Assurance Officer ensures the processes, resources, and procedure needs for all programs are met, and that direct reports are maintaining or increasing the level of safety, well-being, permanency, and supports to the children and youth we serve. Furthermore, this dynamic position ensures that the intent of legislation, contracts, standards, and policy and procedures are adhered to by themselves and the agency.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Internal and External Agency Reviews.
- Act as Liaison with Accrediting Body.
- Policy and Procedure development and maintenance.
- Chair Safety and Support Committee
- Chair Critical Incident Re view Committee
- Chair Occupational Health and Safety Committee (OH&S). Ensuring all programs follow OH&S guidelines.
- Outcomes reporting to management and contractors.
- Support as Quality Assurance Officer to sister program, Elysian Ventures. Elysian Ventures provides person
- centered supports to Adults with Development Disabilities or barriers.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the human services field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the human services field.
- Knowledge and experience with various aspects of policy development and industry standards.
- Knowledge and experience working within OH&S guidelines.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for this position
- Proficient in policy and contract development.
- Able to build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization is essential, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in therapeutic care and the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) model, with a demonstrated understanding of child development, trauma and loss and grief
- Recognition of Indigenous Traditions and beliefs and the importance of culturally appropriate care
- Demonstrated respect to diverse communities, backgrounds, identities, gender, and sexualities with an understanding of terminology and pronouns.
- Ability to communicate cross-culturally and work effectively with individuals and groups, including those with socially marginalized identities and experiences
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention Check, and Drivers Abstract will be required as part of pre-employment screening.
