**Steel Detailing Coordinator**

**Responsibilities**:
We are looking for an experienced Steel Detailing Coordinator to oversee the detailing and completion of all our projects.
- Examine customer drawings and specifications to attain understanding of the complete scope of work
- Coordinate with engineers and architects and detailing team to meet project requirements
- Ensure Connection Design is complete and suits Noront Steel's Detailing Standards and Fabrication Processes
- Coordinate project RFI's with detailer and client to ensure they are submitted and logged and responses are received to satisfy project requirements.
- Communicate any changes resulting from RFI's with project team and coordinate project implementation with change orders.
- Collaborate and work with Project Management, Detailing, Connection Engineering, Document Control and Production teams
- Coordinate changes and be willing to adapt if necessary and implement in project
- Support Project Management with development of sequences and create detailing schedules
- Host meetings as required with detailing subcontractors to upkeep schedules and communicate such with the project team
- Check that all shop drawing submittals are in accordance with project requirements and that complete scope has been fulfilled

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience in detailing coordination with structural steel and miscellaneous steel fabrication
- 5+ years experience as a Steel Detailer
- College Diploma in engineering technology or University Degree in engineering or acceptable combination of education and relevant experience
- communicate effectively in English
- both written and verbally
- Advanced level of knowledge of SDS/2 and Tekla Structures
- Ability to read, understand and interpret structural drawings.
- Knowledge of welding processes and welding equipment
- Self-motivated and able to multi-task and complete projects independently and with project team
- High attention to detail and able to meet deadlines
- Understanding the steel fabrication process, steel grades, fastener grades, connections requirements, coatings and installation requirements
- Organizational, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and use of MS Office programs

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
