**DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**:
A Fabrication Detailer collaborates closely with engineers, designers, and fabricators to produce high-quality products according to project requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities consist of:

- Interpretation of Design Concepts, Analyze and interpret architectural, mechanical, & structural designs, sketches, and specifications to develop comprehensive fabrication drawings and models.
- Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and assembly instructions, incorporating necessary dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to identify appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing methods required for the fabrication process while considering cost-effectiveness, durability, and project specifications.
- Conduct thorough reviews of fabrication drawings and models to ensure compliance with project requirements, design standards, and industry regulations, making necessary revisions and modifications as needed.
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, project managers, and fabricators, to gather necessary information, address design-related queries, and provide technical support throughout the fabrication process.
- Maintain accurate documentation of fabrication drawings, revisions, and project specifications, ensuring version control and adherence to organizational standards.
- Identify and resolve design and fabrication-related challenges by proposing creative solutions while considering project constraints, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Stay updated with advancements in fabrication techniques, software tools, and industry standards, and actively seek opportunities to enhance personal and professional skills through training and development.

**REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS OF THE FOLLOWING**:

- Proficiency in Solid CAD/ Auto CAD
- Strong technical drawing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with fabrication processes and materials.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and construction techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to propose effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Ontario Diploma, in Mechanical/ Civil Technology. (Or greater)
- 5 years of relevant experience is beneficial.
