Supply Chain Planner

Effective Supply Chain Planning is a critical part of our success and central to servicing our customer orders in time and in full. Supply Chain Planning entails the following: Demand Planning, Long Range Production Planning, Material Requirement Planning, Inventory Management, Production Scheduling, and Master Data Management. Accountable to the Supply Chain Manager, the role is seen as a key link to all areas of the organization and is an integral member of the Operations team.
- **The role**:_
- Analyze sales and collaborate with the sales team to create a long-range sales forecast, demand plan, master production plan, MRP and procurement plan
- Analyze and identify risks built into the Master Production Plan considering manufacturing lead times and capacity constraints
- Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support target consistent with 99% customer service levels, inventory turn goals, capacity utilization and staffing requirements
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure effective warehouse space management and the transfer of goods to and from the 3PL facility as required
- Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels while working with Purchasing and Manufacturing to meet customer requirements. Propose changes when and where needed
- Issue production work orders and investigate discrepancies and variations from the production plan.
- Assist Supply Chain Manager in the S&OP process
- Lead production planning and scheduling meetings
- Work closely with production staff in the development of the weekly and monthly production schedule
- Learn the allergens and schedule production in a specific manner to ensure compliance with our packaging declarations and certifications
- Demonstrate a proficient capability in performing and publishing root cause analyses on key metrics including Customer Service Level, Actual vs. Scheduled Productions and Master Schedule Compliance, Adherence and Stability
- Work together with Finance on maintaining and updating Master Data as and when required.
- Working with the stakeholders to establish and/or validate the data requirements for Item, Customer and Vendor Master Data
- Actively engage in and direct regular data cleansing projects.

- College Diploma or University Degree (preferred)
- Certification CPIM is highly desirable
- 5-8 years production planning experience within CPG or food manufacturing industry
- Must have the ability to analyze alternatives, use judgment and initiative in planning production
- Solid computer skills (MS Office) with high level of Excel skills (queries, macros and more)
- Must be highly organized with excellent project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to multitask and work to a deadline
- Must possess working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (X3 experience is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail with great analytical and data management capabilities
- Ability to manage in a complex and fast-paced, dynamic environment

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
