**Description**:
WES’ Office of Social Impact is seeking an Operations Intern to provide operations and administrative support over the next few months. WES Social Impact leverages various approaches to create a world where immigrants, refugees and international students experience educational, economic, and social inclusion. These approaches include programmatic interventions, policy & advocacy, grantmaking, impact investing, research, partnerships, and influence & communications. The intern will work within the Office of Social Impact to provide administrative, project management and coordination support across a range of internal and external priorities.

**Duties included but not limited to**:
**Operations and Administration**:
Support Social Impact teams’ preparation for and involvement in key processes, such as dashboard development, quarterly reviews, quarterly Board meetings, and annual priority and budget-setting processes (i.e preparing timelines, drafting workflows/processes and file management)
- Support preparation for high priority meetings or key projects out of the Office of Social Impact, such desk research, copyediting, formatting PowerPoint decks and compiling and formatting slides.
- Partner with the Special Assistant to organize and coordinate internal meetings and virtual and in-person team gatherings.

**Special Projects**:

- Providing project management and coordination support to other small to large Social Impact projects as determined by the Chief Social Impact Officer.
- Assisting with support for core functions (Operations, Planning, Learning, Monitoring, & Evaluation, Knowledge Management or Data and Reporting) in the Office of Social Impact on an ad-hoc basis and as determined by the functional leads.

**Requirements**:

- Holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a discipline such as: social science, public policy, international relations, business administration, economics, and/or other relevant programs.
- Organized and detail oriented with track record of delivering high-quality, accurate work.
- Comfort with working in ambiguous and entrepreneurial environments.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills.
- Poise, confidence, and maturity in interacting with key stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented in planning and executing tasks.
- Highly efficient in managing multiple concurrent diverse tasks and projects
- Experience coordinating and managing multiple projects.
- Strong proficiency with the MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Teams) is required.

**Working Conditions**:

- Remote (Based in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia or willing to relocate)- Duration: 6 months - Part Time- Salary: CAD $24/hour
- 20 to 25 hours per week with flexible working conditions
- Fast paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Remote work environment with occasional meetings in the Toronto office. If you wish to work from the office more frequently, a hybrid work arrangement is possible.
