Mixer Operator

**_Job Purpose_**

The **_Mixer Operator_** is responsible for transforming ingredients into a cohesive, extensible, machinable dough that can be sheeted or laminated into a continuous sheet prior cutting.

**_Duties and Responsibilities_**

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

- Operates mixing equipment
- Communicates any issues with supervisor, sheeter and oven operators
- Followed dough formulation and adds ingredients as specified.
- Followed FIFO and communicate with supervisor and shipping for ingredient needs.
- Conducts scaling and loading of ingredients into mixers and ingredient bins
- Handles Re-work dough
- Controls and communicate dough rest time via batch time report.
- Monitors dough temperature
- Delivery dough to sheeter dough hoist
- Updated metric board
- Ensure mixing room and ingredient storage area are maintained in a clean, sanitary and orderly state always.
- Follow SOP’s including daily pre-op procedures and formulas, record keeping.
- Operate power walkie and power lift.
- Use just foods program to report dough and maintain inventory.
- Complete change-over cleans as required, including heavy duty cleans like allergens and full wash downs.
- Use of mops and floor machine to keep area clean.
- Follow wood management procedure and policy.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

**Working conditions**
- Always work indoors.
- May be exposed to very hot temperatures from ovens.
- May work close to others, usually within a few feet.
- Wears safety equipment such as gloves, ear plugs and safety shoes
- Straight shift work.

**Physical requirements**
- Bend, twist their body, stoop and stand for long periods of time
- Perform repetitive motions.
- Heavy lifting
- Use their hands to handle, control, or feel products.

**Salary**: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
