Quality Control Representative

The Quality Control Representative will be responsible for working closely with the Quality Control Manager, supervisors and employees to ensure compliance with all RCESI Quality Control protocols at all times. The primary shift for this position is Monday-Friday from 7:00am-5:00pm but availability in the evenings and weekends will be required, as determined by business needs.

Quality Control Representative duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Accurately maintain all documentation required by the RCESI Quality Control (QC) Program in a timely manner
- Visually examine welds following completion
- Efficiently and accurately complete weld logging, MTR Logging, and hydrotest packs
- Ensure all personnel are aware and performing in accordance with the RCESI QC program
- Accurately receiving, storing and shipping materials as well as reviewing bill of materials against isometrics and identifying any shortages or overages prior to fabrication
- Verify and release finished products for shipment and complete required documentation
- Ensuring all MTRs are received for material shipments, signed, and dated
- Ensures consumables are stored as per manufacturers and code requirements
- Assisting in the coordination of NDE contractors at the job site and shops
- Assist supervisors in shop and field locations with QC requirements
- Ensure the documentation and quarantine of any faulty materials
- Work closely with the QC Manager and site Supervisor(s) to ensure high-quality completion of project QC requirements
- Monitor every stage of fabrication to avoid defects
- Complete reports and submit to the QC Manager for final approval
- File and sign off on documentation as required
- Ensure safe storage and verification of all project related documentation, both paper documents and electronic files
- CWB Level 1 certificate required
- Journeyperson certificate in welding or pipefitting is preferred and considered an asset
- Experience with provincial/federal compliance standards, weld procedures and ITP’s
- Strong attention to detail is a must
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
- Ability to work professionally with Client Representatives at all times
- Excellent prioritization and organization skills
- Experience interpreting multiple discipline drawings
- Current and valid First Aid/CPR & H2S certificates
- Proficient in the use of the full Microsoft Suite and Acorn experience preferred
- Experience with various weld processes (SMAW, GTAW & FCAW/MCAW)
- Capable of demonstrating worksite mobility including but not limited to: standing, walking, lifting, climbing
