_**Preferred Protection & Response Services Ltd.**_is currently hiring licensed Manitoba security guards to fill a Part time guard position.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- A valid Manitoba Security License **is required.**:

- Must be fluent in English both verbally and in writing
- **Minimum 1 year** working experience in the security field.
- **MUST** have own transportation (or be able to arrange for transportation after midnight at specific sites)
- **MUST** be able to stand for 3-5 hours and be able to do foot patrols as required.
- **MUST** be available for either shift: Saturday & Sunday 1600-2400 OR Sunday & Monday 0000-0800.

**Security Guard Responsibilities**:

- Observe and Report any/all suspicious activities and incidents at respective sites.
- Communicate with Supervisors, when required.
- Remove unwanted persons from the property, when required.
- Respond to emergency situations as required.
- Occasional lifting may be required, (min. 50 lbs).
- Providing our clients with exceptional customer service while remaining focused on the assets of the property at all times.
- Must be available to work on all shifts: weekends, evenings and overnights, shifts will be "as required".
- Confident in using communication equipment 2-way radio.
- Standing and walking, which would be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
- Ability to approach difficult situations and resolve in a timely manner.
- Ability to work well with others.

Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: From $14.15 per hour
