The Toronto office has an opening for an Intermediate Hydraulic Modeler to join their Municipal Conveyance team.
**Duties**:
- Develop hydraulic/hydrologic models for the water/ wastewater/ stormwater systems.
- Perform infrastructure assessment/planning studies including Environmental Assessments (EA), Master Plans, Basement flooding, capacity analysis, Flood risk assessments, etc.
- Work in a team environment on a variety of projects that would include model build and system analysis to assess system performance and use the model to develop solutions and strategies for improvement.
- Support various groups across the company with hydraulic modeling and analysis and develop models to determine sound solutions for various private and municipal projects and clients.
- Assist with proposal development including write-up, project schedule, and fee estimation for modeling and associated engineering works.
- Perform necessary modeling tasks to support the design teams.
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff in performing their tasks.
- Prepare technical memorandums/ reports.
- Perform any other technical tasks as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field, from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario or eligible to obtain the license within the next 1 year
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in water, wastewater, stormwater systems modeling and analysis
- Aptitude for meeting schedule and budgets, proposal writing, and client development.
- Proven capabilities in planning and writing reports and other technical documents.
- Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
- Hands on experience in InfoWorks and/or InfoWater.
- Working knowledge of GIS tools.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
