Who are we looking for?
Our Ontario Integrated Water Management team is looking for a Senior Modeler to join the team. This position will be located in the Greater Toronto Area.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Run, analyze, calibrate and modify hydraulic wastewater and hydraulic water distribution system models and develop solutions to meet design criteria. Support pump station design team and preparing system curves and hydraulic analysis for pump stations including pump selection, NPSH calculations and checking pump operating conditions Providing training and mentorship to our junior staff related to water/wastewater models and methods. Prepare modelling documentation, technical memoranda and design reports. Support Senior staff with client relationships with key client contact for water/wastewater related projects. Support proposal preparation, report writing, cost estimation, drawing preparation. Collaborate with Service Line Leaders and Project Managers within and outside the Region on work sharing and business development. Support Infrastructure Planning Studies including Master Plans, Basement Flooding, Inflow and Infiltration Studies, etc. Review process mechanical drawings and design pipe class based on transient analysis and steady hydraulic analysisWhat you will bring to the team:
Degree in Civil/Water Engineering. Eligible to get Professional Engineer license ( Minimum 15 years’ experience in conducting hydraulic analysis for pumping stations and water resource modelling projects. Good understanding of water pump station mechanical and support design team for selecting valves, gates and fittings Advanced capability and direct experience with industry standard hydraulic/hydrologic tools/models, such as WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, HAMMER and SewerGEMS Familiar with surge tanks, air valves and other surge control devices Skilled in pipeline design including valve chamber design Understanding 3D modeling and experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D Experienced in preparing plans, longitudinal profiles, and earthwork volume calculations by AutoCAD CIVIL3D software and skilled in using AutoCAD CIVIL3D to create surfaces, grading, horizontal and vertical alignments, and cross sections Good understanding of pipe materials including PVC, PE, steel and concrete pipes Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.-
