We are looking for a Project and Program Management Coordinator to support our Automotive and Surface Transportation (AST) Research Centre. The Project Management Coordinator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

The Coordinator is responsible for supporting program/project management activities by working closely with project managers and providing expertise on practices, systems and tools in order to ensure projects are tracked and managed efficiently.

More specifically, in the role of Advanced Manufacturing Program Coordinator, you oversee performance management (tracking and reporting) and ensures the rigor of operational practices, systems, tools and program data. As a member of the Advanced Manufacturing program team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to helping transportation equipment manufacturers by conducting innovative research, with a particular impact on reducing production costs (design, procurement, processing and assembly).

**Education**:
College degree in a related field.

Project Management courses may be considered an asset.

An equivalent combination of work related experience, formal training and education would also be considered.

**Experience**:

- Experience in supporting project management in a research and development environment (gathering information and updating project data, maintaining project forms, templates and tools, producing project reports).
- Experience in managing key program performance indicators.
- Significant experience using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in the implementation of best practices in regards to project and program management.
- Experience with providing advice and/or training to colleagues.

Assets:

- Experience using SAP Project Systems.

**Technical Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of project and program management theory and practices.
- Knowledge of operational and financial management within a large organization preferably within a Canadian federal government context.
- Ability to read and interpret project and financial data.
- Ability to give presentations and provide coaching and training to colleagues in various aspects of project and program management.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a daily basis.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office tools, e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Assets:

- Basic knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles and methods.
- Basic knowledge of Treasury Board Financial Guidelines and the Financial Administration Act.

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

**Compensation**:
From $60,143 to $70,963 per annum.

Rates under review.

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
