Construction Management Representative

Connex Personnel is currently recruiting a Construction Management Representative (CMR) for an upcoming project located in the Bay d’Espoir area. The project scope will entail paint coating refurbishment and the CMR will oversee the completion of this work.

**CMR Scope of Work**
1. Be on site in BDE at all times while Contractor is working (including mobilization and demobilization activities).
2. Monitor and work with Contractor to ensure all work is completed in a safe manner and in compliance with applicable safety regulations and bylaws. CMR will also monitor Contractor work to ensure work is being performed in general accordance with the defined scope of work.
3. Verify that Contractor staff has appropriate safety certifications for work they are performing, such as Fall Protection Training.
4. Participate in Contractor daily Toolbox meetings.
5. Assist with coordination of work between internal staff and Contractor. This may involve coordination with staff at head office, as well as operations staff based in Bay d’Espoir.
6. Complete and submit Daily Reports to Project Management. These reports will outline items such as number of staff on site, work completed, notable occurrences, safety concerns, etc.
7. Provide orientations to Contractors staff.

**Contractor Scope of Work**

**Project Duration**
The construction period is anticipated to be between September 5-29, 2023. Rotation and number of days worked still to be determined, working 10 hours per day.

**Required Experience**

Previous experience as a CMR or similar role, construction background, and the ability to work collaboratively with contractors. Experience with painting/protective coating projects an asset.

The CMR must have a laptop and cell phone with camera, use of a personal vehicle in which a reimbursement will be provided and all basic PPE. Accommodations and meal allowance will be provided.
