Vacant Position effective immediately

Wages commensurate with Job Band 4 starting at ($19.71/hour)

Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for Non-Union Employees (AVRCE).

Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Director of Operations.

**Qualifications and Abilities**:

- Ability to work independently and accurately while on a flexible schedule.
- Proven clerical skills with strong communication, collaborative, and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge and familiarity of the use of SAP modules including Materials Management (Procurement), Finance, Time Entry and Human Capital Management (HCM) Cross-Application Time Sheet (CATS) time entry; Bus Planner.
- Two year secretarial/clerical training at a Community College or equivalent is required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous office experience.
- Receive and match packing slips with applicable invoices.
- Prepare, verify, and code invoices for processing payment.
- The ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and the public.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and SAP.
- Enter data into appropriate database fields, records, and files.
- Accounting experience and experience with accounting software.
- Accurate typing skills and precise electronic filing skills.
- Prepare, photocopy, assemble and distribute documents.
- Initiate purchase orders with appropriate budget financial codes for approval.
- Familiarity with current office procedures and equipment.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems independently, to work as part of a team and to exercise good judgment, take initiative and accept responsibility, and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Enthusiasm and a pleasant manner.
- This position is first available to current “Non-Union” employees of the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education.
