**Position Summary**:
**Job Duties/Responsibilities**:

- preparing cold food items such as salads, sandwiches, wraps, fruit plates, vegetable plates and others
- preparing soups, sauces and hot entree items
- demonstrating proper food preparation techniques with students under the supervision of the teaching staff
- mentoring students preparing for Skills Canada competitions and students enrolled in dual credit Career Pathways
- assisting with baking station as requested
- maintaining clean and sanitary work areas
- assisting with serving and cleaning up on the daily service lines
- assisting with washing dishes, pots and pans and clean up of general food prep areas
- operating the cafeteria cash register and balancing daily cash
- assisting in the preparation and set up of special events and catering services
- assisting with food ordering or inventory management as requested

**Education/Qualifications**:

- Red Seal Certification
- Food Safety Certification or equivalent
- a minimum of two years of food preparation experience
- excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills
- ability to multi-task
- First Aid, WHMIS

**Rate of Pay**:
$22.64 - $28.70 per hour
