**Principal Required for Victoria Islamic School**
The principal’s responsibilities will encompass 60% instructional work and 40% administrative tasks to effectively implement the BC curriculum in both its literal and intended sense. The principal is expected to be an energetic and innovative individual who consistently demonstrates respect for diverse ideas and proactively brings forth a wealth of resources and innovative concepts. Moreover, the principal is committed to fostering a culture of successful collaboration and progressive learning.
Additional job responsibilities comprise various tasks beyond those specified, including but not limited to:
**Areas of Responsibilities**
- Create a culture of excellence, teamwork, and collaboration among staff, faculty, students, families, and the academic community.
- Drive teachers’ growth by facilitating goal setting around classroom culture, curriculum development, lesson creation and execution, and data analysis
- Implement clear processes for scheduling academic programs, curriculum analysis, lesson planning, and execution.
- Adhere to the school’s annual operating budget for academic progress, school maintenance and events /programs.
- Promotes a comprehensive range of learning opportunities for students, including social responsibility, arts, athletics, global citizenship, and Islamic culture.
- Fosters and maintains positive and professional relationships with Parents, children, staff, and management.
- Oversees and coordinates the school’s daily operations, and administration.
- Manages school inquiries, registration, enrolment and student layouts.
**Qualifications**
- Valid BC Teacher Certification / or a Teacher Certificate from any Canadian province that can be converted.
- With a focus on curriculum, administration, leadership, counselling, or a related field.
- Must have at least three years of administrative/organizational leadership experience in an educational setting and strong commitment to integrating Islamic faith into education.
- Fully aware of the BC curriculum and its implementation in the classroom.
- Proven experience in successful school teaching, instructional leadership, and working with diverse learners

- Quick-thinking, confident, self-motivated, organized, and friendly.
- Be punctual, efficient, and welcoming.
- Willing to learn and grow with the team.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing, and verbally and respect the beliefs, culture, and ethnic heritage of others.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and willing to learn new software.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
