The Product Analyst bridges the gap between business and technology by translating client challenges into product features that meet clients’ needs while achieving business goals. In collaboration with a Product Manager, you will manage the continuous improvement of Payworks’ line of business products, leveraging your understanding of the functionality of workforce management solutions alongside product management disciplines and activities.

The Product Analyst will employ a combination of listening, observational, analytical and communication skills to collaborate on solutions that deliver significant value to our clients. You will work closely with various cross-functional teams, including the development, product management, marketing, sales, support, and service teams, to help create the best products possible.

**DISCOVER SOLUTIONS** - IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO***:

- ** Understand and translate client problems into solution requirements** - You will participate in client interviews, market research and competitive research alongside a Product Manager to understand client needs and market trends. Collaborating with clients and Payworks stakeholders, you will combine your knowledge of customer needs with the team’s design and development expertise to outline the best possible solutions.
- ** Manage the product backlog** - Collaborating with the Business Analysts and technical development team, you will manage the product backlog by analyzing the trade-offs between usability, performance needs, time to market, development cost, serviceability and other potential considerations for the solution.
- ** Work with a team** - Acting as the representative of the clients’ needs within the development team, you will answer questions, solve problems, and research potential approaches. You will also collaborate with the Product Designers to develop intuitive user experiences.
- ** Make great products even better** - You will analyze how our current clients use our product and the feedback they have provided us to enhance our product. Staying at the forefront of the product development, you will proactively seek opportunities for continuous professional and technical growth.
- ** Prepare for change** - With your expertise of the Payworks product, you will prepare the organization for releases by creating organizational readiness artifacts such as product help files, product bulletins, presentations and how-to guides as well as perform product demonstrations for our internal teams.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED***:

- Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Pragmatic Institute Certification in Product Management would be considered an asset.
- Strong project and change management capabilities with demonstrated experience operating, managing and delivering results.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- Product background with SaaS products with technical knowledge, including SQL.
- Creative problem solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, draw insights, and see related opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation influencing and engagement skills with the ability to demonstrate these skills at all levels of the business.
- Flexibility to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload to achieve on time accurate results.
- Team player with ability to build relationships with internal teams to drive product development.
- Understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle teams to drive product development.
