**Job Summary**
The Drilling Tools Quotations Specialist will provide inside sales and technical support, working closely with various departments to coordinate and ensure seamless operations. The role involves assisting the sales team with technical quoting, managing work orders, and handling technical queries. A strong analytical mindset, technical skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist the sales team with technical quoting and customer inquiries.
- Coordinate work orders and organize job flow for the shop floor.
- Create and manage purchase orders to procure necessary materials and services, ensuring all resources are in place to complete jobs efficiently and on time.
- Develop, update, and maintain select company policies to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist with health and safety training and policy implementation, contributing to a safe and compliant work environment by promoting best practices and regulatory adherence.
- Liaise with engineering, sales, procurement, finance, shop management, saw, and shipping departments.
- Oversee coordination of shop equipment and machinery repairs.
- Ensure data accuracy and timely communication across teams.
- Perform additional duties relevant to the role as required.
**Skills & Qualifications**
- Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) diploma.
- Strong experience in reading technical drawings and knowledge of drilling tools.
- Relevant machining experience or knowledge.
- Knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry and drilling tools is an asset.
- Proficiency in technical measurements and quoting.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel and PDF handling.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative in decision-making.
- Ability to follow and implement company policies and procedures.
- Positive attitude, integrity, and accountability.
