Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manufacturing and Production Instructor to join our team. As an Instructor, you will play a crucial role in training and developing employees by delivering comprehensive instruction in manufacturing and production processes specific to the aviation industry. Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to the growth and success of our organization as we strive to maintain high standards of quality and safety in aircraft manufacturing.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs: Support the design and instruct training programs focused on technical manufacturing and production processes in the aviation industry. This includes creating and delivering instructional materials, lesson plans, and hands-on training activities that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct theoretical and practical training sessions: Deliver engaging and informative classroom instruction on topics such as aircraft assembly, materials management, quality control, production techniques, and manufacturing principles. Lead hands-on practical training sessions to provide students with real-world experience in manufacturing and production environments.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress: Assess student performance through examinations, practical assessments, and projects. Provide constructive feedback to students to aid in their skill development and ensure they meet the required standards for certification or employment in the aviation industry.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations: Continuously update your knowledge of manufacturing and production practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in the aviation industry. Incorporate relevant updates into training programs to ensure students are equipped with the latest industry knowledge.
- Collaborate with industry professionals: Foster relationships with aviation industry partners, including aircraft manufacturers, maintenance organizations, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with these stakeholders to identify industry needs, validate training programs, and incorporate industry insights into the curriculum.
- Support curriculum development: Assist in the creation and improvement of curriculum materials, including textbooks, resources, and training aids. Contribute to the design and development of new training courses based on industry demands and emerging technologies.
- Ensure safety and quality standards: Emphasize the importance of safety and quality throughout the training programs. Instruct students on adhering to industry standards, regulations, and best practices to maintain the highest levels of safety and quality in aircraft manufacturing and production.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and lead the continual improvement initiatives where gaps in effectiveness have been identified through training metrics and user feedback, includes supporting train the trainer programs.

Education and Professional Qualifications
- A degree, college diploma, trade certification or demonstrated expertise in the field of instruction
- A certificate, diploma or degree in adult education is considered an assset

Skills & Experience
- 8+ years’ experience as a Training and Development Instructor, preferably in aerospace or other regulated manufacturing industry.
- Previous work experience in aerospace or in a technical operational role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft assembly techniques, materials man
