**About us**

Small Batch Soaps is a boutique retail store St. Davids specializing in handmade bath and body products and a variety of other giftable items from local small businesses.

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic Store Associate to join our team at a store specializing in handmade bath and body products and other locally sourced items. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for our customers. Your passion for excellent customer service and knowledge of our unique product offerings will contribute to the success of our store.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and approachable manner, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, offering guidance and product recommendations.
- Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of our handmade bath and body products and other locally sourced items, including their benefits and ingredients, to provide accurate information to customers.
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store environment, ensuring shelves are stocked, products are properly displayed, and the store is clean and presentable.
- Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, including handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving, unpacking, and organizing merchandise shipments.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store targets and goals, actively participating in-store promotions, events, and sales initiatives.
- Uphold store policies and procedures, including following safety and security protocols.

Qualifications:

- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, especially in a similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with customers of diverse backgrounds.
- A genuine passion for natural, handmade bath and body products and a desire to share knowledge and educate customers about their benefits.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring the store is well-maintained and merchandise is accurately displayed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems is an asset.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12-18 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
