**WHAT TO EXPECT**:
Are you a curious person with an interest in manufacturing processes? Being able to use your knowledge to optimize the cost of products is something that would excite you? The position of Cost Simulation Expert is definitely for you
In this position, you will be a member of the engineering team and your mandate will be to actively participate in the product development process by being the reference regarding product costs. You will have to strongly influence the design of our products by proposing changes and improvements in order to optimize the cost of the products.
Over time, you will become an expert in your work tool, the aPriori software, and will have to constantly improve your methods and push the limits of the software.

Here's an overview of your tasks:

- Develop a thorough understanding of the different manufacturing processes used in our products and in the different plants of the Soucy group, in order to become a reference
- Understand and master the cost generating elements in our parts that make up our track systems
- Actively participate in CAD and prototype reviews by proposing improvements to reduce product costs
- Perform cost analysis using real-time costing software (aPriori) in the different production environments (China, North America...) available to the engineering teams
- Present results and recommendations (assumptions, costs, comparable parts...) to requestors

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or any other combination of education and relevant experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, particularly machining, casting and mechanically welded assemblies
- Interest in statistics and analysis
- Experience in 3D modeling on CAD software (an asset)
