**RETAIL & EVENTS MANAGER**
- The role will involve:_
- Oversee the daily management of the store/tasting room including planning, organizing, merchandising, customer service, motivating staff and other related duties including opening, closing and cashing out.
- Create exceptional on-site experiences and drive retail sales/grow revenue.
- Work with management to create an annual events plan and execute on that. This would include Wine Club events.
- Oversee the management and growth of the Wine Club.
- Lead the retail team and, in conjunction with the GM, hire and train retail staff.
- Create monthly staff schedules two weeks in advance.
- Manage tour and group bookings.
- Attend Tourism and shop/tasting room-based Industry meetings, as required.
- Create and maintain relationships with peers at local wineries and manage partnership programming and events.
- Maintain website, keep spec sheets updated, keep track of specials and limited-time-offers, create retail signage and communicate/create content and programming for social media.
- Order and maintain appropriate levels of merchandise, supplies and stock - including any food offerings.
- Create and manage in-store specials and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain the POS system and Inventory count, as well as walk-in cooler organized,
- Manage the shipments of on-line orders.
- Constant Contact data input and other general administrative duties.
- Ordering of printing documents - chits, product lists, thank you notes etc.
- We need someone who:_
- Is available to work weekends, holidays, and events.
- Has a passion for wine and delivering top-tier hospitality.
- Is a natural leader with excellent organizational skills and can multitask effectively.
- Boasts at least 2 years of experience in a related position - ideally within the wine industry.
- Wine education like WSET 2+, or equivalent, would be an asset.
- Can lift and carry 35 pounds throughout the day.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
