**The Role**
- The English Language Learning and Acquisition Department is seeking to expand its list of contract instructors qualified to teach both EAP and TESL courses.**Responsibilities**
- As a contract instructor in the ELLA Department, you will:
- Develop course outlines following curriculum guidelines;
- Select and create teaching materials;
- Manage teaching and learning resources through the college’s Learning Management System (LMS);
- Deliver quality learner-centred instruction;
- Design assignments and assessment criteria;
- Evaluate student progress;
- Observe and evaluate practicum students;
- Hold regular office hours; and
- Maintain currency in the field through regular professional development.
**To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need**
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in TESL, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent;
- TESL Canada Professional Standard 3 Certification;
- A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching adult EAP;
- Demonstrated experience of teaching in a TESL program;
- Experience teaching with a Learning Management System;
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, excellent communication skills, demonstrated initiative, self-directedness; and
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in EAP and TESL.
Training and experience teaching LINC is an asset.
