The OUAC is seeking an Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator to work within the Systems Infrastructure team to maintain its Oracle 19c and SQL Server databases.

**Responsibilities**:

- Installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle 19c databases for multiple test and production PeopleSoft environments.
- Monitoring Oracle databases and troubleshooting any issues.
- Implementing and maintaining Oracle database security and auditing.
- Refreshing Oracle databases in test environments, including writing and maintaining the related scripts.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server databases.
- Supporting developers and other internal users.
- Recommending and implementing patches, upgrades, and system improvements.
- Implementing and testing disaster recovery capabilities.
- Planning, documenting, and effectively implementing projects.
- Off-hours monitoring on a rotating basis, along with occasional off-hours patching or upgrades.

**Qualifications Sought**:

- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- 10+ years of in-depth IT experience.
- 4+ years as an Oracle Database Administrator.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Oracle 19c database administration, including RMAN, Data Guard, OEM, security, patching, and upgrades.
- SQL Server database administration experience, including installation, backups, monitoring, security, patching, and upgrades.
- Linux and SQL scripting experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills.

**Abilities/Skills**:

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively both independently and in a team environment.

**Qualifications Considered an Asset**:

- Oracle DBA certification.
- Microsoft SQL Server certification.
- Experience with PeopleSoft administration and tools, such as monitoring, tuning, debugging, scheduling, or Phire change management software.
