The Business Development Manager organizes, plans, and executes sales initiatives for our retail accounts with the aim of maximizing sales and profitability to meet annual budget targets.

**What’s involved in this role**
- Achieving annual sales and profit budgets
- Monthly and annual forecasting management
- Develop account/category specific business plans to meet marketing and sales objectives consistent with the Organization’ strategic orientation.
- Provide a high level of analysis and organization in leading Contract and price increase negotiation
- Coordinate marketing programs and negotiate business arrangements in an attempt to meet target objectives
- Develop and present monthly business and investment reviews, identifying variance to forecast and needed recommendations that provide mutual benefit
- Take part in developing sales and investment objectives by product category (budgets, volumes, costs)
- Identify strategic opportunities that highlight competitive advantage through offering added value in products and services (including distribution, billing, price list consolidation, EDI, etc.)
- Continuously perform post-audits on negotiation mandates and recommendations
- Work within the framework of established budgets and continually take advantage of opportunities for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of sales expenses

**'‹ **What you need to join our team**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or in a related discipline
- Minimum of 4-5 years of business development experience (preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry)
- Strong understanding of Food Service and Distributors, marketing business principles, competitive trends and P&L management is required
- Excellent knowledge of English (Spoken and Written)
- Sound command of standard computer programs (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.);
- Good understanding of French (Spoken and Written) - An asset.
- Position requires travel to see customers and internal meetings
