**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- General license with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario or Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Basic Anaesthesia Assistant Certificate or equivalent required
- Membership in CAS recommended
- Successful completion of an Advanced Anaesthesia Assistance Certificate Program
- Two (2) years related clinical experience working as a Respiratory Therapist in the past six (6) years in critical care environment. Or Two (2) years related clinical experience in the past six (6) years in an operating room
- Current BCLS certification
- Holds certificates in BCLS, ACLS and PALS
- Demonstrated proficiency performing advanced procedures such as arterial line insertion and IV insertion
- Evidence of continuing education
- Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting professional practice standards as outlined by the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario or College of Nurses of Ontario related professional associations
- Applied NH values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service
- Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education, expanded scope of practice and relevant practical experience in problem solving
- Working knowledge of computers
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
