As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager and enthusiastic experienced **Plant Manager** to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing industry who can provide a superb customer experience.

**Position Overview**:
The Plant Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and management of resources to meet production targets and quality standards while providing effective leadership, guidance, and motivation and establishing a positive work environment for all of the Operations Teams. Ensure the ongoing success of the plant floor through the effective management of targets, goals, and production efficiencies. Works with the COO to develop and implement the Operations and Manufacturing strategy.

This position reports to the COO.

**What you will be doing**:

- Directs all manufacturing operations and manages utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel to obtain maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives.
- Plans, controls, and manages the operations activities of the production team to meet customer requirements.
- Plans and directs layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work foworkforceation.
- Recommends and implements measures to resolve and improve productivity and product quality. Coordinates activities with all functional departments (e.g., Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, etc.).
- Establishes methods to meet work schedules, coordinates work activities with other units, ensures and production stays on schedule and within budget. Provides information to production planning to ensure that production objectives are met.
- Prepares and analyzes production data daily per shift, reports to Management and performs Root Cause Analysis to identify and address production gaps.
- Leads and coaches manufacturing salaried staff.
- Control labour relation activities within the framework of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and ensure continuity and consistency of Company policy.
- Manages the process of hiring, terminations, discipline, and promotions, and collaborates with management and Human Resources Partners.
- Enforce and actively promote safe work practices that are compliant with Ontario Safety legislation and the Active Dynamics Group Safety program. Maintains proper housekeeping, recognizes and amends unsafe work conditions and conducts safety talks.
- Leads and promotes lean manufacturing throughout the organization.
- Identifies and corrects potential work problems including health and safety issues.
- Controls and maintains authority over budget and schscheduleccountable for product quality, employee safety and environmental compliance.
- Prepares a range of reports and budgets.
- In partnership with the Executive Leadership team and the COO, introduce new manufacturing technologies and execute plans for the reconfiguration of the plant and current work processes and practices.

**What you bring along**:

- A relevant University/College degree or equivalent technical designation.
- A minimum of 15 years of Operations experience, preferably in a metal fabrication/engineering business supplying an OEM customer base.
- Comfortable and confident working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
- Team player, with strong leadership skills comfortable interacting at senior management and shop floor levels.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills. Prior profit and loss responsibility an asset.
- Proven performer who has demonstrated capability in advancing into a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Statistical analysis and Six Sigma.
- Strong communicator with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with and be an influencer to peers and senior leadership.
- Fluent with all MS Office products and strong ability to navigate and use MRP/ERP systems
