The School of Natural Sciences is the newest and largest academic unit in the Faculty of Science, Engineering &
Architecture. Our faculty members are actively involved in research projects covering a wide range of fields,
including applied and theoretical chemistry, environmental biology, biomedical science, forensic toxicology,
materials science, neurobiology, zoology as well as science communication. The unit boasts a Canada Research
Chair in Stressed Aquatic Systems, and houses the Vale Living with Lakes Centre, a world-renowned research
centre on the main environmental issues of our day.

Laurentian University, located on Atikameksheng Anishnawbek territory in Sudbury, Ontario, serves over 8000
