Regina, Canada Regina Farmers' Market Co-operative Full time

The Regina Farmers’ Market Co-operative (RFM) is seeking an energetic, organized, and customer-focused Data Collection Specialist for the summer farmers’ market season. Working closely with the RFM’s Market Supervisor (MS), the Data Collection Specialist will collect, organize, interpret, and summarize data from the farmers' markets to provide usable information by the end of the contract. The data will be collected through customer and vendor surveys that will be administered by the Data Collection Specialist at every market.

The contract will begin on May 4 and run until October 12 the scheduled shifts for this position are:
Wednesdays: 9:00 am-1:00 pm (May 8 - October 9)

Thursdays: 4:00 pm-8:00pm (July 4 - September 12)

Saturdays: 9:00 am-1:00 pm (May 4 - October 12)

The Data Collection Specialist will be scheduled and must be willing to work at every farmers' market per the schedule above for the duration of the contract. They may also be scheduled to assist with planning and preparation in advance of farmers’ markets, as needed. The remaining hours will be worked from a home office on a flexible schedule.

The Data Collection Specialist’s responsibilities include:

- Attend regular markets and any special events in person
- Follow all of the RFM’s health and safety protocols
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of relevant RFM policies, processes, and relevant legislation/regulations
- Collect data from customers attending the markets through dot surveys.
- Perform crowd counts at regular intervals.
- Collect data from market vendors at each market.
- Deliver and collect surveys to neighbouring businesses.
- Organize, interpret, and analyze data collected and provide usable information and reporting before the end of the contract.
- Provide assistance and support to the staff at the RFM Information Booth, as needed.

Required skills:

- Superior customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Experience and/ or education related to data collection, interpretation, and analysis
- Comfortable with numbers, and experience with handling cash
- Capable of working independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to arrive on time to scheduled shifts and be ready to work

**Requirements**:

- Access to a computer and the internet.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for 2-3 hours at a time.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5.5 months

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Regina, SK S4P 0S4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
