Marketing API Specialist

sMedia is North America's leading digital technology company for automotive dealerships. We empower dealerships to adapt and thrive during the current digital transformation wave. sMedia is currently looking for an experienced Marketing API Specialist to join our growing Development Team. As a Marketing API Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize the use of various API platforms, particularly on Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, and Pinterest. Your primary focus will be on utilizing Conversion API and First-Party Data Collection to enhance campaign performance and audience insights. You will be pivotal in integrating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data with media platforms, allowing for highly personalized and targeted marketing initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- API Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing APIs from Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, and Pinterest into our campaigns and data systems.
- First-Party Data Utilization: Leverage first-party data effectively to improve audience targeting, segmentation, and retargeting efforts across all platforms.
- Conversion API Implementation: Implement and optimize Conversion API tools to accurately measure and track campaign performance, ensuring valuable data collection.
- Privacy Sandbox Expertise: Stay informed about the latest updates, changes, and best practices related to Google's Privacy Sandbox initiative and other relevant privacy frameworks. Conduct in-depth research on emerging privacy technologies and trends to assess their potential impact on our digital ecosystem
- CRM and Media Platform Integration: Develop seamless connections between CRM systems and media platforms to utilize customer data for enhanced ad targeting and personalization.
- Identity Graph Development: Utilize your knowledge of developing identity graphs to map customer identities across different platforms, enabling a cohesive and unified user experience.
- Data Analysis: Analyze campaign data, API performance metrics, and first-party data insights to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Troubleshooting: Act as a technical expert, providing solutions and resolving API-related issues that may arise during campaign execution.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously research and remain informed about the latest marketing API advancements, platform updates, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Your Performance Measures
- Strategic alignment. Monthly review with CTO to ensure current roadmaps connect to revenue, customer experience and company objectives.

Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with APIs from Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft, TikTok, and Pinterest.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools.
- Experience with marketing mix modelling implementation.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing.
- Expert with Digital Marketing Platform APIs like Meta, Google, Microsoft
- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Expertise in utilizing Conversion API and First-Party Data Collection to enhance marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with integrating CRM systems with media platforms for data-driven marketing.
- Strong knowledge of developing identity graphs to map customer data across platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in resolving technical API issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinking and a passion for exploring new marketing technologies and strategies.
